Dana Curran - Weight Loss

When the subject of weight loss and weight management comes up, I think of the number 3500.  One pound of body weight equals 3500 calories.  Losing weight, managing weight, keeping the weight off is a process of burning calories through exercise and eating good calories.  It is that simple.

We can't lose sight of the importance of burning calories through regular exercise.  Over time, this habit allows us to splurge once in a while and have those treats that we enjoy so much.  Think of it; a good walk (250 calories burned) just three days a week - over the course of a year equals 39,000 calories burned and over 10 pounds lost.  Add a good diet with a simple walking program and you have accomplished a lot.

Weight management is a marathon, not a short sprint.  The race may take time, but the results will last a lifetime.

I urge you to join Life Practice™.
