Dana Curran directs the
coaching program for Life Practice .
Her role is not unlike a personal trainer, team coach or mentor
of any group. Dana’s life work is teaching and supporting
people as they learn new skills and develop good habits. Her
role also extends to coaching the coaches. As the Teamwork Company
and Life Practice
grows, Dana is actively developing our coaching curriculum and
evaluating the performance of the Life Practice
coaches.
Dana graduated from West Virginia University School with
a Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology. She is a certified
personal trainer with the American Council of Exercise (ACE),
a member of nationally known fitness organizations, and the Idea
and National Strength and Conditioning Association. Dana has
worked in a variety of exercise/health settings. More recently,
Dana assisted the strength and conditioning coach at the United
States Naval Academy, worked with the cardiac rehabilitation
program at Anne Arundel General Hospital in Maryland, and
was the director of personal training at Fitness Inc., in
Annapolis, MD. Dana is currently working on her graduate studies
in addition to her responsibilities with the Teamwork Company.
Dana Curran has made exercise and good health a habit in
her life. She loves working with individuals to help them
meet their health and fitness goals. As a personal trainer
Dana frequently sees individuals struggling with obesity,
heart disease, and diabetes. The critical piece that needs
constant reinforcement is the importance of regular exercise
and healthy lifestyle behaviors.
Dana is a firm believer in routine. Once an individual makes
a commitment to good health and exercise, getting into a routine
is the biggest challenge. Life Practice
offers people that essential routine. “Every morning
you are held accountable for your choices from the previous
day; the solution to this problem – a simple, daily
routine. A real coach is with you every step of the way, which
is something you cannot get from a personal trainer,”
Dana asserts. ”From my experience
as a personal trainer I know that many people cannot afford
their own trainer and many more simply don’t have the
time to meet with a trainer.”
Dana summarizes it best, “Life Practice
is a daily reminder of what you are striving to achieve whether
that is weight loss, overcoming heart disease, decreasing
fatigue, or just trying to create a healthy lifestyle. So
come join our team so our coaches and I can help you achieve
your goals.”
