In 1900 the average life expectancy was slightly over half of
what it is today. The question is – are we any healthier
today than our great grandparents? Probably not.
Today’s culture has taken a lot of physical activity,
exercise and basic nutrition out of our lives. Sure, prescription
drugs and medical advances help us live longer, but today’s
lifestyle is a threat to our health and wellbeing.
Life Practice
is a proven program that can systematically reduce the risks
of heart disease, diabetes and certain cancers. Reducing these
risks (sedentary behavior, bad cholesterol, hypertension,
“bad” stress) is not rocket science. Regular exercise,
a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, sound sleep habits,
stress management and working in a supportive team environment
will do wonders for you health.
There is a cottage industry of books, tapes and advocates
of highly technical approaches to health, longevity and fitness.
We seem to go through endless cycles of diets and fads. Most
promote their approach as “easy”, “secrets”,
“eat anything you want”, or “no-exercise”.
Life Practice
does not sell books, tapes or gizmos. We are coaches and doctors
who will help you develop habits and routines that will lead
to good health. The process never ends. For many there will
be setbacks and we do not promise that Life Practice will
be easy. We do promise that safe, moderate exercise and good
eating habits will help you lead a healthy life.
If you combine Life Practice with
regular visits to your doctor, and if you are up to date on
preventive health screening (blood pressure, cholesterol,
PSA testing, mammograms – to name a few), you can greatly
reduce your risk of disease. In some cases, you can actually
reverse the onset of lifestyle related illness.
There is no magic pill that can guarantee good health. Joining
Life Practice may be the best decision you can make
to help you get healthy.
