We have all
glanced at the magazines while in line at the check out. It
is amazing how many target people who want to get in shape.
It is equally amazing to see what these magazines pitch:
"Getting Fit for Super Sex", "10 Secrets to a Flat Stomach",
"No Sweat System for Losing Weight", "Four week program for
Buns of Steel."
The benefits
of exercise are limitless. It's a shame that fitness is
promoted in such a crass way (buy my book, tape, gizmo,
supplement.it doesn't matter if it really works, just buy
it).
Physical fitness leads to
successful weight management, reduction of risk factors for
disease, improved body image and self-confidence, enhanced
stamina and performance. A solid exercise program can be the
key element to successful recovery from a heart attack, or the
means to getting buff for a class reunion. In short, regular
exercise is the key.
The central focus of the Life
Practicesm is exercise. Our goal is to help people
become regular exercisers, or help people who already are
regular exercisers fine-tune and sustain their habits and
commitment to be fit. What separates Life Practicesm
from the rest is our unflagging commitment to do it the "right
way." We are building a team or a community of users who are
looking for the following:
A
simple, easy to use program that provides coaching and ongoing
support.
A
program that is similar to a personal trainer, but with the added convenience
of daily coaching on the Internet at your work or home.
A
means to get straight answers on exercise equipment, exercise
routines and reliable information.
A
tool that keeps you on track; a constant reminder and presence
in my life that keeps you motivated, stimulated - even a kick
in the butt to make sure I keep on exercising.
Developing a
sound program that includes cardiovascular, stretching and
resistance exercise need not be a complicated endeavor. You
don't need expensive equipment, costly club memberships or
rely solely on customized training. The only requirement, really, is a good
pair of athletic shoes and a large dose of commitment. Life
Practicesm provides the coaching support,
motivation, and daily accountability that users need to meet
their healthy goals.
It doesn't
matter if your goal is to become a tri-athlete, a regular
walker or anything in between. What really matters is your
desire to get in shape - a life long investment in your health
and wellbeing. Life Practice is the program that will help
make this happen.
